Great Quality Care for a Bright Future

Pat Schulz Child Care Centre opened its doors in 1989. We are a non-profit, provincially licensed child care centre providing full-time care to children from birth to five years old in our Infant, Toddler and Preschool programs.

Our Centre provides a safe, secure, supportive and stimulating environment where children are free to be themselves and grow to their full potential. Our programs aim to complement parental care in a nurturing, educational, non-judgmental setting, where children can learn, interact and engage in ways that encourage development of self-esteem, self-worth, empathy, respect and a sense of personal responsibility.

We strive to provide a bias-free learning platform with regard to culture, race, language, gender and ability and employ teaching strategies and materials that are inclusive and appropriate for all children. We use an emergent curriculum model and work with the ELECT Document to provide appropriate programming for the children in our care.

Location

We are located at 1 Danforth Avenue, on the southwest corner of Danforth and Broadview Avenues, inside the City for Adult Learning Centre.

Testimonials

“After touring a number of places… Budworth set her sights on the Pat Schulz Child Care Centre (PSCCC), which had been recommended by the director at the U of T centre. PSCCC is a licensed, nonprofit, community-run centre that uses a well-researched curriculum and insists upon a high level of training for staff.”

“The peace of mind in knowing that my children are so happy, so loved, and so engaged in the programs at Pat Schulz means everything to me. The teachers are fantastic, the menu is amazing, and the level of care that exists here is second to none. I wouldn't want them to be anywhere else.”

~ Jyll Weinberg-Martin, parent of two kids in the program
